Music Scholarship Opportunities
Music Scholarships Still Available for Fall!
We are continuing to audition prospective students for Fall 2010 Music Scholarships. Substantial financial aid (up to full tuition) is available for students intending to perform in one or more ensemble(s), and to study privately in the same performance medium (e.g., to sing in the Concert Choir and study voice, or to play in the Orchestra and study violin). Any student or prospective student interested in a music scholarship should schedule an audition. For more information, or to schedule an audition, please contact Melody Velleuer at 847.317.7035 or schoolofmusic@tiu.edu.

Eligibility
All students involved in the School of Music, regardless of major, are eligible to audition for a music scholarship. The factors weighed by the music faculty in deciding whether or not to award a scholarship may include (to the extent known): performing ability, sight-reading ability, the needs of the ensemble, ensemble participation, willingness to work, rehearsal availability, music major/minor status, previous applied music study, attitude, full-time/part-time status, grades, and financial need. We give prospective Music or K-12 Music Education majors priority, but we offer many awards to non-majors as well.
Renewability
Music scholarships are automatically renewed for up to ten semesters if the student fulfills the conditions specified in the award letter.
